I feel like its been a hot second since I’ve written a post. I was in Iowa last week/weekend for my sister’s wedding. It was SO nice to be home and have much family time, and of course all the celebrations surrounding the wedding meant lots of laughs and good wine:) It was the perfect weekend and I have never seen my sister so happy (and stunning!! such a gorgeous bride!) I am so sad all the festivities are over but like they say, all good things must come to and end.
I had purchased this blush cocktail dress by Gianni Bini Official (sold at Dillards) to wear to the rehearsal but ended up squeezing in a trip to the mall in the midst of all the last minute planning and bought two other options. Excessive? Yes. but hellooooo a girl needs options! lol! (does anyone else do that?!) I try to convince myself I’ll return the ones I don’t end up wearing but you can guess they made the journey home with me and found a spot in my closet. I ended up wearing a different maxi also by Gianni Bini because I wanted to be a bit more casual but will be wearing this one in a few weeks for another family wedding so I see it as a win/win. #weddingsonweddingsonweddings.
I love how flattering wrap dresses are. Room for aaaaaall the food and wine (okay, mostly wine) your tummy desires without feeling self conscious! #priorities I especially love the little bow detail and the cut outs on the sleeves.
This dress also comes in blue (the color I originally wanted) and a dark green but once I tried this blush dress on I fell love. Pink is so fun for summer and mixes up the typical LBD. For sizing reference, I ordered a Medium and the length was perfect (always such a toss up when ordering online with these chicken legs of mine, tall girl problems).
This cocktail dress is under $60 so it won’t break the bank if you are looking for a low cost option! I paired it with Aldo block heels – identical pair here which I also wore them with my bridesmaids dress.
I’ve linked some other favorite blush cocktail dresses (a few from Gianni Bini and also others) I have been crushing on lately that would be perfect for any dressy end of summer event!
