I’m so excited to finally reveal all the details of baby Charlotte’s nursery with you all! I have to apologize for the radio silence these past couple of months. Between preparing for a baby, finishing up with work before maternity leave, and then having a newborn, it’s safe to say life has been pretty crazy. Charlotte has been absolutely amazing these past couple of weeks. She was born on May 9, and has completely stolen our hearts. I will be working on her birth story and a life lately post in the next few days, so stay tuned for all the details on baby girl. And you can expect a lot more baby and family content. (If there’s a post you’d like to see us write about, always feel free to leave us a comment below!)
I have linked everything from the nursery at the bottom of the post. I started working on Charlotte’s room as soon as I found out I was pregnant. No joke, I ordered her rocker when I was 12 weeks pregnant. (Can you tell I was excited?) I knew immediately that I wanted to keep her nursery very simple – no theme. I just wanted it to be clean, classic and elegant.
My mom and I are absolutely obsessed with Restoration Hardware, so one random afternoon we headed downtown and spent the day picking out everything for baby Charlotte’s special nursery. We immediately fell in love with the Bellina nursery collection. (I mean come on.. how could you not?) And the second I laid my eyes on that armoire, I had to have it.
I had planned on picking out the nursery bedding elsewhere, but couldn’t resist the Washed Appliquéd Fleur collection. I love the subtle pink color, as I didn’t want anything that would be too bright or overwhelming.
The paint color I chose is Sherwin Williams, “Light French Gray.” I have used the color several times, including in our basement, and it looks beautiful in any room.
I kept wall decor and accents very simple too. Since I have so much furniture in the space, I didn’t want to go overboard with shelves or wall art. My mom found the wall flowers at Hobby Lobby for less than $5 each! Such a steal, and they were so easy to hang up. I’ve received so many questions about the Charli Raye sign above the changing tabIe. I found the cutest shop on Etsy, and she makes the canvas signs for less than $100! (Link below).
Many of the other accents were given to me as gifts at my baby shower, including the adorable unicorn rocker, the “Read me a story..” sign and “Shh.. baby sleeping” sign.
It’s safe to say that Charli’s nursery is officially my favorite room of the house. If you have questions about the room or any of the products, be sure to leave me a comment below!
